Stage luminary Nina Arianda is often called “the next Meryl Streep,” and for good reason. Ever since her live-wire performance in Venus in Fur – a star turn that brought the show to Broadway and earned Arianda a Tony Award — she has displayed a chameleonic ability to match her own singular M.O. with that of her characters. Oh, and she’s hilarious.

Naturally, I was thrilled to be a part of the act for Tales From Red Vienna, Arianda’s first play after winning the Tony. We sold this sexy wartime drama with a huge photo of our star, along with a line that hinted at the transgressive, illicit, and resilient nature of Arianda’s character: “SURVIVAL IS NOT A CRIME.”
